About:
Julia Fletcher Selway is a visual artist who likes to experiment with different mediums to express her perspective on the environment around her with a lot of her inspiration coming from repurposing things she has collected or materials that otherwise may be discarded.
Many of Julia's works are mixed media collages or fabric collages that incorporate a juxtaposition of bright colors with contrasting black or white to create a mosaic effect.
A biologist by schooling, Julia transitioned from a career as a research and development (R&D) scientist to refocus on her passion to create art. In addition to collages, Julia also enjoys nature and abstract photography.
Julia resides in Carlsbad, CA where she runs a graphic design business called JEFS Storytelling Arts.
